Positions for the upcoming school year are posted beginning in April and continue throughout the year as they become available. The timetable for screening, interview,  and selection process depends on the work schedules of screening and interviewing staff. Every attempt is made to fill positions as quickly as possible and inform applicants of their status as soon as selections are known.

Education

Must be able to satisfy the legal requirements necessary for a Michigan Teaching Certificate; must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and Secondary Schools or an equivalent agency.

 

Attendance

Regular attendance is critical; must have a satisfactory attendance record.

Job Description:

      The successful candidate will be expected to:

The Science Teacher may teach any combination of the following courses: physical science, earth/space science, and biology/life science to students in grades 7-12.

This educator motivates students to acquire knowledge of scientific facts and principles, develop skills in the scientific method of problem-solving, and enhance transferable analytical decision-making skills. The high school science teacher develops student awareness of the role of science in national environmental, economic, and social progress.

Perform a variety of duties relating to Cafeteria-Style service including greeting and serving students, food preparations, stocking counters/shelves, and maintaining sanitation standards.

Must have transportation.

     American International Academy Great Start Readiness Program is Michigan’s preschool program for four-year-old children who have factors such as low incomes that might put them at risk for school success. This is a very high-quality early childhood program that follows all rules and regulations of the Michigan Department of Education. This position requires one who is a personable and dependable person with a strong work ethic.

We are looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our team and provide support to our teachers and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment, assisting with lesson plans, supervising students, and providing additional support to teachers as needed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet.

  • Work cooperatively, harmoniously, and productively with the driers, transportation supervisor, administrative staff, building principals, and the public

  • Present a positive image as a representative of the school district

  • Maintain student order at all times to ensure adherence to the safety rules

  • Observe all Board of Education policies and regulations and comply with school district work rules

  • Regular and predictable attendance
